It is Possible for Bacterial Vaginosis to be Cured Permanently, Do Not Always Follow Your Physician

It seems like physicians are always handing out the same information about bacterial vaginosis. Don’t use scented fabric softener, don’t use feminine hygiene products, use unscented soap, etc. This makes chronic sufferers of bacterial vaginosis feel even worse, as the physicians are essentially saying that they would be cured, if not for the fact that they weren’t following easy directions.

One of the most disturbing things that I found was the statement, over and over again, that only women who have had multiple sexual partners were at risk for bacterial vaginosis. Some even claim that women who abstain only contract BV very rarely. With reactions such as these, it’s no wonder that women looking for a cure for their bacterial vaginosis are reticent to speak to their doctors about it; it only adds to the stigma.

Physicians also keep insisting that antibiotics are the cure for bacterial vaginosis. This treatment works for some bacterial vaginosis sufferers, but more often than not, the antibiotics don’t provide a cure. Despite being shown that this case of bacterial vaginosis won’t be cured by antibiotics, some doctors insist on trying multiple courses, only to have it fail again.

For those resistant cases, doctors need to be open to other ways to cure bacterial vaginosis. You’d be hard-pressed to find another disease where so many sufferers, for whom the prescribed course of action is insufficient, patients are ignored and no changes to treatment made.

You need to understand what causes bacterial vaginosis in order to find a lasting cure. Changes in the vaginal environment, such as a higher PH level, can make the bacteria that cause bacterial vaginosis thrive

A common natural cure for BV is taking probiotic supplements. Probiotics are live bacteria, either taken in capsules or found in some kinds of yogurts, that can help replenish the ‘good’ bacteria found in the vagina. The more ‘good’ bacteria you’ve, the harder it is for the ‘bad’ bacteria to take over.

While beneficial to your overall health, probiotics don’t cure all cased of BV, and some may need to seek out other remedies. For myself, I finally found the right combination of things that worked for me; to see what that was, check out my review “Bacterial Vaginosis Relief”.

Though some people in the medical community don’t treat it as such, bacterial vaginosis is a serious condition that affects all aspects of a woman’s life. Considering there are so many women suffering from this, the medical community needs to be aware of other treatments out there so that we can cured more swiftly.
